Planning from 3 months, many times we fail, and very few times things go in our way. This was one of it!!
We wanted to taste some adventure in our lives!! Only adventure we were known was adventures in office, but this time something heartfelt and pleasant was needed!!
So we decided to trek all the long and mighty and most beautiful Himalayas!! “Sar Pass Trek”!!
Started with group of 5 people, but when the word was spread across, many were enthusiastic to join us!! Finally this number came up to 12. All from single family!! “Vedanta”
Ok, now the plan is done. But here comes the next biggest hurdle!! “Leaves”
Convincing your boss for a long leave is something tougher than climbing Himalayas.
Finally we all climbed the hurdle of leaves!! “Leaves Approved” Ha-ha!! J
Finally the day has arrived for us to start our adventure. Kasol was our base camp for this trek. So we had to take a long journey via Delhi to reach the base camp. But to our surprise, we never felt it as a long journey instead it was memorable one!!
At least we reached Kasol, the mini Israel of India. It has peace written all over it!!
Day_1:
We started from Kasol_the first base camp:
Initially we thought that this would be a not much harder trek and chosen this keeping in mind it is our first trek. But it was not that easy we thought. Day 1 was awesome and memorable as the life of kasol is total different from the place we live. The weather was awesome and our base camp was completely surrounded by snow-capped mountains.

Day-1 at Base Camp

Day_2:
After a brief introduction with other fellow travellers in the group and our trek leader of Kailash Rath on Day-1, we woke up early at 6 am on Day-2. A mug of hot tea was a bribe to us to enjoy the most scenic morning. The place was beautiful at its best. It’s damn cold. Forcing us to not even touch a drop of water.
Target for this was of 8 km. We started off the most beautiful walk of our lives. Enroute we witnessed many beautiful things. We crossed parvati valley and beautiful rivers adding to this was tasty Maggie. After some initial struggle we finally reached the village called “GRAHAN”. A Jaw dropping village. The most cleanest one with sparkling water bodies and believe me you can hardly find any dust there, it’s that clean and obviously green. It was our camp for the day. That evening at camp was filled with fun. Many games, bon-fire and endless talks made us forget all the strain we took for the day.

DAY_3 & 4:
Everyone has a dream to reach and experience the Snow and now it’s our time for it. We were super excited for this. Wow!! Snow!! Finally!!
Few of us were not feeling well as this was not easy, as altitude kept on increasing which made oxygen levels are get lower. It was a tough task for our trek leader to motivate us to cover further altitude. But at last we did it.

Day _5:
Trek was tougher and tougher each day. We reached further altitudes by this day. Almost at 11,000ft above sea level. We have even faced difficulty in eating food due to lower levels of oxygen. Remember this was our first trek, as we are not habituated for this, we felt it tough to face, but we faced it. That’s where the happiness lies. Each one of us motivated each other to do it. Our bonding grew much better.
Sharing tents, helping each other in tough times.. These all made us come together, more than a family. Finally we reached village “NAGARU”. With no network connectivity life seemed to be peaceful.

Day_6:
Was the D-Day. We are going to reach our final destination. 13,800 ft above sea level. The Sar Pass!! It was the most difficult day of the entire trek. We were ready to take this challenge and on one was really ready to look back. All we did was just look front and go ahead. After some motivation from our trek leader, we finally reached the destination. It was one hell of an experience. Reaching 13,800 ft above sea level. Best moments in our lives. We lived every moment of it. Making more and more memories.
Slowly we started to trek down back to our base camp kasol. We did it with all the joy and fun.

Day_7:
We were back to Kasol. And that ends our Best Experience of Life. “Sar Pass” We had a lot to take back from this. Lots and lots of memories piled up. Moments to cherish, celebrate and enjoy .

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
